Cathy Jourdan, has just had her first book published. Admission of Guilt by C. M. Jourdan is now available at all online major bookstores. This collection of short stories written by an ex-social worker at a men's prison will have you talking for a long time to come.
This fiction work was inspired by the dark environment known by inmates as the “joint”. Her time working in this environment gave her an ability to create three dimensional characters that leaves you feeling you've met and know each of the characters. Every story has a unique twist that creates an emotional reaction in the reader. The reactions range from anxiety, sometimes sorrow and many times just leave the reader shuddering. This is an intriguing and provocative look inside a prison and it’s dark subculture.
The book had a test release that received a strong positive reaction. There are multiple positive reviews popping up all over the internet. The reviews echo the same sentiment..."well written…”, “intriguing…”, “a page turner…”, “surprising…”, “unnerving…" and best of all, readers are asking, "when will there be more?" This is a worthwhile read for anyone who enjoys prison movies and television shows like Oz and Prison break or for those who are simply curious about the communities inside the walls and behind the razor wire of a prison.
You can get your copy at Amazon.com, Borders.com, Waldenbooks.com and Barnesandnoble.com. Or, you can go to their retail stores and request it if it is not on their shelves.
