Linda crosses the room to the suspended bed, stretching her arms out, trying to find out what is holding the bed up. Linda's crinkles her nose, obviously smelling something foul. She is shivering in an almost uncontrollable manner. Suddenly Linda is pulled from under the bed by something unseen. UNC, a grey haired man in his sixties enters the room with a Bible in hand. UNC Our Father, who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Cecil falls to the floor from the bedtable and the suspended bed and Linda's mom come crashing down to the floor just missing Linda. UNC (continuing) Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses... Rene looks at her daughter in a menacingly way. RENE It was you, you're responsible! (beat) You are a conductor of evil! UNC As we forgive those who trespass against us. RENE (rage in her voice) She's in liaison with the devil! UNC Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. RENE Throw her out now! UNC For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen. Unc looks at Cecil with a knowing expression exchanged between them. Cecil looks at Linda with a bewildered expression. He shrugs and forces a slight smile. Unc goes to Linda, putting his arm around her shoulder, he walks her out of the room. Linda and Unc walk down the hallway talking. LINDA Unc, what's going on, and what's that nasty smell?
