INT. AIRPLANE - EARLY MORNING. Linda and her mother and father are on a plane traveling to Jersey. Linda's father, Cecil, is reading a newspaper. CECIL Look at this Rene! Cecil holds the paper over in front of Rene to show her the front page. CECIL (continuing) Bloody wealth tax! Shot of the front page from Linda's point of view in the seat behind. INSERT PAPER WEALTH TAX RENE Like to bleed you to death this Government, don't they! CECIL Yes, and I've had enough. All these years to get back to where we were when you Father died. I'm not going to die and pay tax again in crippling death duties like he did! RENE No, I agree, we'll move to Jersey where there are no death duties. Paying tax on your money your whole life, then paying again on what's left when you die, plus this wealth tax...they're bringing in is just too much. LINDA (chirping from behind) I'm not leaving without my animals! RENE Oh, don't worry about that! We'll take the animals with us! Linda sits back in her seat, obviously thinking. DISSOLVE TO: INT. HAMPTON LODGE - NIGHT Linda, her father, her mother and her brother and sister are all in her mother's bedroom packing boxes of belongings. There is a vintage port bottle out and they are all drinking the port. LINDA This port is great! RENE I should be, it's worth a fortune, but the stuff won't travel well, so it may as well be enjoyed. ANN Well, I could have taken some home to keep. RENE There's plenty, but if you want some, take some home. ANN I wish I was coming with you! ROGER You're not the only one, but in reality I wouldn't really want to leave England. RENE It's your own faults...If you hadn't gone and got yourself into a position of having to have shot gun weddings due to pregnancies, you could have come! Ann and Roger go dead quiet and give each other a look. LINDA I'm going to miss the babies! RENE Well, you needn't get any funny idea's. I'm not letting you get into trouble. Linda's mother gives her an evil look as she speaks.
