You're an ungrateful little bitch with bad blood! A door is heard slamming, with a scream from Linda heard immediately after it. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. BACK YARD - AFTERNOON Linda's father is by the greenhouse. Brian is putting up a light in the greenhouse. Linda comes flying out of the back door closely followed by her mother. Linda goes straight to her father who is near Brian. LINDA (shaking her head) She's throwing me out, Dad. I'm going, I can't take her anymore. CECIL Hang on. Let's go in and talk this through...what happened? LINDA She has decided that she doesn't want me to be with Brian. I love him and it's my choice to be with him. All I wanted was to have a long.... Linda's mother moves forward and hits Linda across the head as hard as she can. Blood starts dripping from Linda's lip. RENE (with malice) Get out! Never darken our doorstep again. (beat) I disown you. CECIL Rene! RENE Don't Rene me...she goes...she goes right now! Linda's mother givers Cecil a filthy look which says shut up now or else. She glares at Linda with an evil look in her eyes. Brian walks out of the greenhouse with the electric light fixture still in his hands. Linda and Brian head for the back gate to leave. BRIAN (glaring at Rene) Let's go, Linda. (looking to Cecil) Sorry, I cannot have Linda treated this way. LINDA (sadly) Sorry, Dad. (pointing at Rene) Shame you've got to put up with that! Linda's father shrugs his shoulders. Rene continues to throw looks that could kill at Linda and Brian and Linda go out of the gate.
