May, 9, 1976 (Jersey's Liberation day) INT. LOUNGE - DAY Linda opens the lounge door and enters the room carrying a baby bottle in her hand. She walks over to the carry cot and goes to pick up Benjamin to wake him and feed him. Linda's face changes from smiling to one of shock and horror. Benjamin is dead. Linda lets out a harrowing scream. LINDA (hysterical) Brian!....Brian...Brian. Brian arrives to find Linda trying to wake Benjamin, in a state of shock. DISSOLVE TO: INT. LINDA'S BEDROOM - DAY Linda is sitting on the edge of her bed, still in shock. Her sister, Ann, is along side her. Ann is handing Linda a cigarette that is already lit. ANN (putting an arm around Linda) Go on smoke it. It'll make you feel better. I know you haven't smoked for two years, but if ever you needed one...it is now! LINDA (takes the fag and starts smoking between sobs) Oh God...oh God....why? Linda sobs almost uncontrollably. LINDA (continuing) Oh God...no! DISSOLVE TO:
