EXT. RIVERBOAT, PERTH - AFTERNOON GILL and MICK's second wedding. There is a group of people on the boat. Linda and Brian are standing holding hands and watching the wedding ceremony. BRIAN Let's hope it lasts this time. LINDA (laughs) They look lovely together, don't the? Gill looks perfect and radiant. INT. GILL'S BUNGALOW - NIGHT Linda and Brian are in the bedroom curled up in bed together with a sheet over them. Linda is playing with the hairs on Brian's chest as they speak. Brian is playing with her hair periodically. LINDA I don't want to go home. I want to stay! BRIAN (grinning) I know, I'd like to stay too. You've all ready changed the tickets twice though, and we do have to go back. LINDA If it weren't for the children, I would refuse to go back, point blank. BRIAN Hmm...well we can get things sorted out and apply when we get back...I promise. LINDA Shame we can't just get the girls over and not bother to go back. I've had enough of the lack of freedom in Jersey and the class distinction lifestyle there is crazy. BRIAN I couldn't agree more. LINDA This place will be so much better for the girls...well for all of us in fact. BRIAN At least we could own our own home here. No more stupid IDC crap. LINDA It's a shame that Jersey wants to get rid of the Jersey born people. The people are the salt of the earth, the Island itself is beautiful, but the government's bullshit stinks! BRIAN Corruption is everywhere. Jersey is so small that everyone knows about everything and everything stands out like a sore thumb. LINDA Yes, they don't give a toss about people, my claustrophobia really gets me down. I cannot breathe in the place with so many rules and regulations. BRIAN Never mind, it shouldn't take long to get everything sorted out and return here to live. LINDA God, I can't wait...lets get a shower and spend our last day here on the beach. BRIAN Fine by me. Linda and Brian get out of bed. CUT TO:
