EXT. BEACH - EARLY EVENING Linda and Brian playing around in the water. EXT. AIRPORT - MORNING Linda and Brian are going through the checkpoint to get to their plane. They look back sadly and wave at Gill. Linda looks at Brian. LINDA I don't care how long it takes...I'm coming back. BRIAN Okay, not a problem as far as I'm concerned. Brian and Linda wave as they pass through the check point. BACK TO PRESENT INT. LINDA'S LOUNGE - AFTERNOON LINDA (to Cathy) As you can see, I'm still in Jersey. Who knew how many awful events there would be to come...my life has been a series of awful events! But, the vandalism began when I had a falling out with a woman named Linda De La Haye over a failed business deal involving a horse dealing agency. She ended up involved in a fraud case with me as an investigator looking for evidence against her. I believe in my heart that she was at the heart of the vandalism, but the worst part was that there were many other things going on at that same time. Linda takes a sip of coffee. LINDA (continuing) We'd lost High View, partly due to a court case against a States Deputy and partly due to Eagle Star Insurance Company who didn't pay up on an all-in bonus policy we had with them. (beat) An outbuilding came down at High View during a storm and the man at the insurance company who gave us the go ahead to secure and rebuild it...died. Consequently, they never paid up and the repayments were too much, especially with us losing the business through the Deputy court case. And then Brian was having trouble with the States of Jersey regarding his business.... DISSOLVE TO:
