Do I need a Medical ID?

About two years ago I was diagnosed with Lupus, so I am still really in the learning phase. What I have learned is that this disease mimics other diseases. Someone told me the other day that they thought I should get a medical id bracelet so that in case anything happens to me, doctors would know. In a way it makes sense but I'm just not sure because I don't know that I've ever seen anyone with a bracelet saying "Lupus."
