I spent a couple of days in Mexico this week and I am always surprised to see how current they are when it comes to advertising and promotion. Off the top, I think of Mexico as third world (or almost), but when you go there you will see something very different especially if you go to the tourist areas. Everywhere I looked was digital signage and huge new billboards, all encouraging visitors to spend money. When you go into the stores you will find all the latest electronic gadgets at a bit of a discount. So, why do I always think of Mexico as poor people riding around on donkeys???? It just isn't really the way it is for most of them today.
