I have been an avid collector of many things over the years. In my mind I was going to end up having some valuable piece or antique that would make me rich after it was appraised by the people on the Antique Road Show. As it turns out, I’ve never been able to go to the Road show and I’ve been toting some of these things around for over thirty years. The bad thing is, a lot of it is larger and fragile. It’s a pain to pack and unpack and I’ve had zero luck selling any of it at a profit (even the smallest) since Ebay came into existence.
You would think I’d learn by now, but I haven’t. I still have this strong desire to collect stuff. The good thing is that I have switched from collecting large, expensive things, to collecting small, promotional items. My husband says it’s junk, but tell that to the lady who took her little Coke promotional item to the Road Show and found out it was worth over $50,000!
