I really, really want to get a dog. I've had dogs before and for a variety of reasons specific to the time, I had to get rid of them. It as sad. However, now we are older and have no children at home and I'd love to get a little Yorkie or something, but my husband keeps resisting.

He says that if we got one, he'd be the one "stuck" with taking care of it because I work. But I tried to point out to him that I could take care of it in the evenings and on the weekends when I am at home. Then he starts arguing that pets are expensive; things such as pet supplies and vets would cut into our budget. I'm not giving up this battle though. I hope to come back to this blog with a picture of my new pet!
