Well, I can't believe it has been so hard for me to do, but I finally committed to a trip home to Ohio. I love and miss my family terribly and I haven't seen then in eight years, but I still find it hard. I would rather buy them airline tickets to come here. Hell, I'd buy them a new wardrobe and buy them new luggage if they would come here. Ohio just brings on this really physical reaction for me. It is so dreary there and people are very cynical there. I hate it. Whenever I am there I can feel depression sweeping over me.
My family does not understand how I feel and so they are offended that I haven't been home in so long. So, I decided to surprise them and make the trip. Right now I am deciding what clothes I'm going to take as well as making a sort of itinerary of what I will do each day I'm there. I figure if I have it planned out and stay busy maybe I can avoid some of the negative feelings I usually get.
