Well, I finally broke down and hired a lawyer to take care of my application for Federal disability. It was not easy finding one. Most lawyers think of or handle social security disability and that is not what I am applying for...or so I thought. The lawyer called me last night and told me that to apply for the FERS disability, I must also apply for the Social Security Disability. He told me not to worry that they would send the paperwork for me to sign (so I presume they will be taking care of it). However, I forgot to ask if it was going to cost me more money. I'll have to call him later today.
