I remember for years how badly I wanted to look at new orleans vacations. Well, I can't believe that I now live only an hours drive from there and it is no longer a vacation destination for me because I con go there anytime. It is an awesome city and I really love it.

I know that since Hurricane Katrina the media cvoerage regarding crime has been pretty bad, but you know what? Every big city has lots of crime. I do not feel nervous there at all. One just has to remember to stay in public places especially at night. Don't venture onto the side streets off bourbon street. It is a fun and exciting experience!
