You should buy insurance when you are younger

Well, I've always heard it, but now I know it is true. One should buy life insurance while they are younger. Now I don't think too young, but certainly before you hit fifty and definiely before you are in your seventies. I was getting a life insurance quote for me and one for my mom. Mine was bad enough and I'm 54, but her's went up significantly because she is 74. I'm probably going to get it anyway, because I am just getting enough to bury her should something happen.
