I wonder if you need a Stove Pipe if you put in one of those instant fireplaces? I saw some really cool looking ones that would really add to the atmosphere of my family room. I know it is not something that I need, but Christmas is coming and I think the warm glow of a fireplace would be very cool.  I'm not sure though how much of a problem it would be to put in a pipe or vent.
